Das Aufgabengebiet

The surroundings:

In this role, you are a strong interface between your stakeholder, together with other DevOps Engineers und Developers. You`ll be in a strong contact with other DevOps teams. The work environment is characterised by an agile way of working and a strong intercultural and diverse team.

The stakeholder:

You will work with Development teams and other DevOps Engineers, as well as the Security and Infrastructure departments of SoftwareOne`s BUSINESS IT

The responsibility:

You design, create and maintain deployment processes/scripts and make use of development tools for Continuous Integration (CI) or Continuous Delivery (CD)
You integrate automated tests for security, governance and other non-functional requirements to ensure high quality over all our developed applications
You find solutions for a reliable and stable deployment process for our cloud-based microservices together with the development teams
You support and further develop our ALM platform Azure DevOps and tool chain together with other DevOps Engineers
You implement and refine security, access control, and software development policies
You oversee our cloud resource management and provide Grafana dashboards or alerts
Due to your interface position, you are called and qualified to further develop agile methods of software development in the company in order to improve operational processes
You coordinate and further develop security and infrastructure concepts in alignment with both the development teams and the company's security and infrastructure departments

The People Lead:

Tobias Hahn is located near Leipzig and will be the disciplinary leader for this role. Tobias started his career as Software Developer at SoftwareOne (former PC-WARE/ Comparex) after his studies in 2008. After 3 years Tobias got promoted to be Software Architect. Since 2021 Tobias is People & Area Lead in SoftwareOne`s Business IT. He`s caring for the professional and personal development of all DOTNET Developers.

Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten

Expertise/ background/ knowledge

Multi-year (5+) experience as a professional Developer or SysAdmin
- alternative: 3 years of proven work experience in a DevOps related role
Automation skills (tool agnostic) and a strong grasp of automation tools
Expert in any of the following tools and coding languages: Azure DevOps, Git, C#, Docker - or at least in comparable tools like Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Nginx
Windows/Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages like PowerShell, Shell, Perl, Python
Familiar with provisioning and administration of infrastructure for deployment, monitoring and test automation as well as with software development lifecycles in general
Feel comfortable with frequent, incremental code build, testing and deployment

Personality

You are always looking for simple solutions for configuration and automation management, health checks, single point of failure, notifications etc.
A proactive, confident and outgoing personality will help you, to build strong relationships and gain respect throughout the SoftwareOne community
The ability to work independently.
Self-organization is required

English is company language, that`s why excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
German language skills in addition would be useful, but not a must
